What does The Gathering Table do?

We are a school teaching about: natural dye, natural inks, natural screen-printing, pattern cutting, construction & sewing, fashion illustration and life drawing.

We are a shop, open by appointment and during class times, selling natural dye extracts, scouring agent, mordanting supplies & organic fabrics, natural inks, crayons and chalks.

Launching late 2023: We will be a consultancy and natural dye service for the fashion industry, fashion brands, interior designers and artists.

What do you sell?

Organic fabrics (mordanted or unmordanted), natural dye extracts (extracted in-house), souring, mordanting and modifying supplies, natural inks, crayons & chalks (made in-house).

When are your opening hours?

We are open by appointment during daytime and evening hours Monday-Sunday. Please call us or contact us to make an appointment. We are also open during class times for students taking the class.

How do I pay for classes?

Is there a minimum age requirement to join classes?

Yes, students must be at least 18 years of age to attend the natural dye open studio and courses alone. Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Is there wheelchair access?

Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible. We are located below ground, accessed by 11 internal steps.

What facilities do you offer?

In the fashion studio, we have an industrial sewing machine, overlocker, domestic machines, embroidery machine, heat press, vinyl cutter for screen printing, full and half female mannequins, 3 pattern cutting tables & steam iron.

For naturally dyeing, we have portable induction hobs, stainless steel pots & pans, a dehydrator and a shop from which you can buy organic fabrics (mordanted or unmordanted), natural dye extracts (extracted in-house) & souring, mordanting and modifying supplies.
